  • Trainee

    We offer trainee lawyers an exceptional opportunity to gain experience in an open and diverse environment with Partners and lawyers who are leaders in their fields.

    Our period of recognised training currently provides trainees with the opportunity to gain experience in these major practice areas: Media, Corporate, Commercial and Finance (including Film and TV and IP, Broadcasting and Tech), Media: Content and Disputes (including Libel, Privacy and Reputation Management), Dispute Resolution, Employment and Family.

  • Support

    We employ a talented and experienced team of support staff who are highly dedicated individuals and bring a level of professionalism to all their duties. Our staff maintain an exceptional work ethic and are pro-active both in supporting the Partners and lawyers who work at the firm, and offering a personal and professional experience to external parties, in particular our clients.

  • Vacation Scheme

    Our Summer Vacation Scheme is a great way to get an insight into life as a trainee at Simons Muirhead Burton.

    The scheme will see each student experience a minimum of two different practice groups across the two weeks. Each student will sit in at least one of our core practices (Civil Litigation, Media, Corporate, Commercial & Finance) and personal preferences will be catered to where possible.

    Please note that placements with the Death Penalty Project are not part of the Vacation Scheme.
