Employment Law Weekly News Update

In this edition:

• The Government has announced a package of 12 measures to tackle sexual harassment at work including introducing a new Code of Practice so employers better understand their legal responsibilities.
• An EHRC analysis of 440 employers’ gender pay gap action plans has revealed that only 1 in 5 has produced a detailed plan to close the gender pay gap and only 11% had set themselves targets to measure progress.
• The Ministry of Justice has published the latest report on tribunal cases for July to September 2018 which shows a 31% increase in single claims, but a 37% decrease in multiple claims.
• The Department for Work and Pensions has announced a new £40 million support package for disabled people which will enable them to work with a dedicated key worker to get and stay in employment.
