In this edition:

• An ET upholds an employee’s disability related harassment claim and awards him £8,000 after his manager accidentally ‘pocket-dialled’ him and compared him unfavourably to an “able bodied” team member.
• The EAT confirms that three Addison Lee drivers were workers under the Working Time Regulations 1998 and the National Minimum Wage Act 1998 as they undertook to perform services personally.
• The Women and Equalities Committee has launched an inquiry into the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements to examine wider issues, other than just sexual harassment, e.g. pregnancy discrimination or racist abuse.
• A UNISON survey, including over 2,500 staff with caring responsibilities, shows that both parents and carers struggle to stay in work because of inflexible working conditions and need more support.
