In this addition:  

• The Government has published its response to a consultation on aspects of the Parental Bereavement (Pay and Leave) Act, which sets out further details about how the new right to leave and pay will work.
• The ECJ rules that a worker cannot lose the right to paid annual leave because he did not apply for it, but the right can be lost if a worker deliberately refrained from taking leave when he had the opportunity to do so.
• Wales TUC Cymru has published a toolkit to help union officers and reps to represent members affected by the menopause by recognising and addressing workplace issues that can worsen women’s symptoms.
• The Health and Safety Executive say that the latest annual statistics for 2017/18 show that too many workers are still being injured or made ill by their work.
