The Statutory Sick Pay (General) (Coronavirus Amendment) Regulations 2020 have now been published and will come into force today.
What does this mean for employees?
Regulation 2(1) of the 1982 Regulations has been amended to state that any person who is isolating themselves from others, in accordance with advice on the coronavirus disease, will be deemed as incapable of work for the purposes of claiming statutory sick pay.
