Brexit delayed until 31 January 2020 – “no-deal” off the table

28th October 2019

The EU has today agreed to delay Brexit until 31 January 2020 effectively ruling out a “no-deal” Brexit. The “flextension” means the UK can leave the EU earlier on the first day of any month if the Withdrawal Agreement is ratified in both Westminster and the European parliament in the meantime.

MPs will now have the opportunity to vote in the House of Commons tonight on the prospects of an early General Election to try and overcome the Brexit deadlock.
